Sugar Grove Borough Approved Meeting Minutes for August 10th,  2009

Council Members Present:

Mayor “Dutch” Strand,  Kevin McIntyre, Dave Slater, Jerry Bloomgren, Ryan Hoffman, Neal Hoisington, Kathy Buerkle

Council Members Absent:    Kevin Nicklas, Terra LoPresti

Citizens Present:  Jenny Nicklas, Kent Wilcox

Call to Order: Vice President McIntyre at 7:04 p.m.

Visitor Comments: Kent Wilcox thanked the Sugar Grove Borough for staying on top of the tree issues in the creek. He would like the borough to give recognition to the residents who removed the trees from the creek.

Kent would like the borough to set up a system where local events get approved. A standard process would allow the sharing of resources and capture volunteer hours which are worth about $17 per hour towards the Main Street Project of which Sugar Grove is a part of. Council asked for Kent to put together a proposal which he could bring before the council members to review.
