Updated Officials List
Letter from Douglas Hanes
concerning SGVFD monthly meeting
Streets, Roads
& Bridges: (Kevin Nicklas, Neal
Hoisington)
Council suggested that
Critzer plow more on the streets. Kevin McIntyre will talk to him about it and
also ask him to plow wider on School Street.
Kevin Nicklas noted that a
street sign inventory still needs to be done but will wait until spring.
2 Christmas lights in front
of The Bucket have no power.
Parks,
Playground, & Sidewalks: (Kathy
Buerkle, Jerry Bloomgren)
Discussed the sidewalk
plowing and shoveling. Council is concerned about the increased cost over past
months/years. Kevin McIntyre will talk to Vince about this issue.
Dave Bauer responded to an
email and said that he should have the package that the architects are waiting
for by mid January.
Kevin McIntyre updated
council on the park property deed that was researched by Ken Crosby. The Sugar
Grove Borough does own the property by the creek where the AMVETs memorial is
located. This runs 129 feet back from the road along the creek.
In the spring we can go ahead
and get the park surveyed.

(Kathy Buerkle, Dave Slater)
Kevin Nicklas spoke with Mike
Volpy from the Busit Fire Department. He is willing to talk with the Sugar
Grove Borough about how best to help the SGVFD.
Kevin Nicklas reviewed with
council how the response time works and that the Busti Fire Department is
linked to Sugar Grove and can be tapped for emergency calls. There is a
protocol in place.
Old Business:
General impressions from the
Sugar Grove Christmas Walk was that it went well.
A hearing was held concerning
the council seat of Ryan Hoffman. Ryan was notified by mail of the hearing and
the council’s concern over his attending only 3 of the last 12 regular council
meetings. Ryan did not attend tonight’s meeting to be sworn in and the council
has declared his seat vacant for failure to attend meetings.
