Call to Order: Council President Kevin McIntyre at 7:00 p.m.
Visitor Comments:
William Stuart asked if the council had considered asking Borough
residents for money to use for public improvements. The park committee is
considering a project for park benches.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from last meeting were approved as is.

A motion was made by Kevin Nicklas and seconded by Neal
Hoisington to pay the bills. The motion carried.
Mayor’s Report: None
Secretary’s Report:
« The Pennsylvania Borough News has agreed to give the Sugar
Grove Borough extra copies of the April issue with the Community Park article
for the cost of shipping.
Communications:
« Final Payment Request approved. Project paper work
complete.
« COG Care
« Sugar Grove CPT request for sharing cost of Port-O-Johns.
A motion was made by Bob Snyder and seconded Kathy Buerkle
to pay for 2 months of the rental fee of the Port-O-Johns to CPT. The motion
carried.
Streets, Roads
& Bridges: (Kevin Nicklas, Neal
Hoisington)
« Mike Luvinson took down the Christmas Street lights. Jerry
Bloomgren helped store them in shed.
« The road repair scheduled for 957 has been shortened to go
from KwikFill to Page Hollow.
« The secretary will try to talk with someone from Penelec
about more efficient street lights.
« The streets were cleaned. Dutch Strand, Dave Slater and Bob
Snyder helped with directing traffic.
« Neal Hoisington updated council on a new way of oil and
chipping (done by Russell Standard). They will come out and look at our roads.
They do have a shoulder machine. He also talked with PennDot about piggybacking
the work to be done on Younie Street to their 957 project. We would need to get
bids in soon.
« Sons of the Legion (Skeet Williams) said that they would
put and take down the flags for Memorial Day.
« Need a stop sign and pole for Patterson Street. Kevin
Nicklas will see if the boro has one.
« The yellow posts on the corner of School and Pleasant
streets need removed.
« New street signs need to be ordered.
« Bloomgren Concrete will patch the hole on Pleasant Street.
Parks,
Playground, & Sidewalks: (Kathy
Buerkle, Jerry Bloomgren. Bob Snyder)
« Kevin McIntyre and Kent Wilcox talked to the permit man
from PennDot about numbers and elevations on the blue print. They are going to
re-submit with a few number changes.
« Kevin Nicklas will schedule the repainting of the
crosswalks and parking spots for Main Street and School Street..
« Dutch Strand will check into ordering picnic tables from
Grant Lumber
A
motion was made by Bob Snyder and seconded Kevin Nicklas to purchase (4) 6 foot
picnic tables from Grant Lumber for the park. The motion carried.

New Business:
A motion was made by Kathy Buerkle and seconded Neal
Hoisington to donate $150 to the Warren County Historical Society. The motion
carried.

Borough Council meeting adjourned at 8:26 pm.
