After discussion about the
Sugar Grove Borough council supporting the formation of an Eisenhower Charter
School by the Community School Ownership Initiative of Warren County, the
council agreed that they were in favor of supporting this option. Council
members felt that having a middle/high school located in the area was important
to the residents of Sugar Grove.
Ordinances: (Neal Hoisington,
Dave Slater)
« Continued discussion about the Animal Waste Ordinance. Neal
Hoisington spoke with one of the Amish bishops about the problem with manure in
the streets. He did not see the Amish community being willing to clean up after
their horses in town. Said they would be willing to leave the community if they
are required to. He suggested that a council member attend an upcoming Amish
meeting with his request. Council will continue to pursue a solution to this
matter.
A motion was made by Kevin Nicklas and seconded by Bob
Snyder to get pass resolution number 09-12-11 in support of the Eisenhower
Charter School by the Community School Ownership Initiative of Warren
County. The motion carried.

Karla F. LoPresti, Secretary
