Supervisor Brown called the November 17, 2009 regular session of the Sugar Grove Township Board of Supervisors to order at 8:00 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Township Maintenance Building, Creek Rd., Sugar Grove, PA. Brown led all those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Supervisors Present: Chairman Randy Brown, Supervisor Carl Black, Supervisor George Sanders
Road Crew present: Brian Larson

Visitors Present: Jason Eckstrom, Ashley Willis, Justin Darr
A motion was made by Carl Black to accept the November 3, 2009 meeting minutes, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried.
Public Comment Period:

Road Report:
Fall grading is almost done. The bottom ash is here and tire chains are in. The new backhoe will be here tomorrow. The Stoney Run project was discussed. The road crew should be working on it in the next couple of days. Filling in the ditch on Eccles Road was dicussed. George Sanders asked Brian how he liked the gravel from ACA. Brian replied that he doesn’t like the 2RC. Discussion followed.
Business:
The secretary gave an update on the Warren County
Hazard Mitigation Plan. She and Gene
Falconer had a conference call, last week, with Taryn Murray to complete any
information that we would like included in the plan. The subdivision map for Hersberger’s was signed by the
supervisors. Bridge inspection reports,
from Northwest Engineering, were reviewed.
The road crew will look into the recommendations from Northwest
Engineering. The Stoddard Road Bridge
needs some attention and a report needs filled out and returned to
PennDot. The road crew will get this
completed. The nuisance ordinance was
discussed. The old sawmill on the
corner of Rounds Hill and Wilson roads has been sold and the new owner is
hauling in junk cars. The secretary
will send the new owner a copy of the junk ordinance and letter to ask him to
clean it up within the next15 days. The
supervisors also asked about the sawmill that MDIA had stopped construction
on. They requested that the secretary
call MDIA and obtain any information on the permit application, etc.

A motion was made by Carl
Black to pay the current bills for a total of $23,527.15, seconded by George
Sanders. The motion carried.
Supervisors Comment:
George Sanders suggested that next summer we should consider oiling over top of small bridges and also paving some of our hazardous intersections. Discussion followed.
A motion was made by Randy Brown to adjourn the meeting, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
