December 1, 2009 Regular Session 8:00 p.m.

Supervisor Black called the December 1, 2009 regular session of the Sugar Grove Township Board of Supervisors to order at 8:05 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Township Maintenance Building, Creek Rd., Sugar Grove, PA. Black led all those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Supervisors Present: Chairman Randy Brown (late), Supervisor Carl Black, Supervisor George Sanders

Road Crew present: Brian Larson

A motion was made by Carl Black to accept the November 17, 2009 meeting minutes, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried.

Road Report:

Fall grading is done. The really bad ditch on Eccles road is fixed. The problems that were cited in the bridge inspection reports are being addressed. Trucks are ready for snow. The new backhoe is doing very well. There was a lengthy discussion about Eccles road and how to keep the creek from eroding the roadway. Brian will measure the creek and height for concrete blocks.

Business:

The following budget resolutions for 2010 were adopted.

Resolution# 09-12-1 – Approval of Budget - Randy Brown made a motion to adopt the resolution, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried.

Resolution# 09-12-1.1 – Annual Budget Report –George Sanders made a motion to adopt the resolution, seconded by Carl Black. The motion carried.

Resolution# 09-12-1.2 – Tax Levy – Carl Black made a motion to adopt the resolution, seconded by Randy Brown. The motion carried.

The secretary had contacted MDIA, for information about the sawmill on Rounds Hill. MDIA stated that the only paperwork that they had was the rejection notice that had also been sent to us.

A motion was made by Randy Brown to pay the current bills for a total of $14,753.51, seconded by Carl Black. The motion carried.

A motion was made by Randy Brown to adjourn the meeting, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:01 p.m.
