Supervisor Brown called the March5 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Township Maintenance Building, Creek Rd., Sugar Grove, PA. Brown led all those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Absent: Supervisor George Sanders
Visitors Present: Linda Cross, Bryan Rutsky
A motion was made by Randy Brown to accept the March 3, 2009 meeting minutes, seconded by Carl Black. The motion carried.
Public Comment Period:
Bryan Rutsky was present
to ask for a donation for the Baseball/Softball fields in Sugar Grove. He gave an explanation of what equipment
they needed. Discussion followed. The supervisors asked Bryan to approach the
borough to see if they will donate also.
This request was tabled until the next meeting. Linda Cross was present to ask for a
donation for the Easter Egg Hunt in Chandlers Valley. Discussion followed. Carl Black made a motion to donate
$75.00 for the Easter Egg Hunt in Chandlers Valley, seconded by Randy
Brown. The motion carried.
Road Report:
The reed beds at the wastewater treatment plant have been mowed and took about an hour to do. The road crew has been cleaning up and repairing after the rain storms. Brian Larson got quotes for pipe for Wilson road double culvert problem. Grants - $4,000 (pipe only); Southern Tier - $3,942 (everything); Chemung - $3,639 (everything but inlets). Brian has contacted several companies looking for a roller. They have been grading and rolling the roads. He also asked about mirror extensions for the 1 ton. The supervisors also stated that from now on any incident involving any township equipment needs to be reported to the state police and the supervisors immediately.
Business:
We received a letter from Penndot concerning signs on
Jackson Run Road. The supervisors
stated that they would like to know the person(s) who requested the signs and
then we could contact them to see if they are still needed. The secretary has contacted Penndot and they
are suppose to be sending us copies of the permits requested for the
signs. The County Aid application and
the 2009 real estate millage forms were signed. Clean up days was discussed and tabled until the next
meeting.

A motion was made by Carl
Black to pay the current bills for a total of $19,357.60, with Randy Brown
abstaining due to a payment being made to him, seconded by Randy Brown. The motion carried.
Supervisors Comment:
Randy Brown stated that we have been checking into grants for a cold storage building. There was also a discussion on the meeting that was held at the firehall concerning their financial situation.
A motion was made by Randy Brown to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Carl Black. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
