Absent:
Visitors Present: Linda Cross
A motion was made by Carl Black to accept the August 18, 2009 meeting minutes and the August 29, 2009 Fall Road Inspection minutes, seconded by George Sanders. The motion carried.
Public Comment Period:
Linda Cross wanted to
know if there had been any new construction since the last time we filled out
the report for the census. The
supervisors stated that there was none that they knew of. She also wants to know if the berms on
Patchen Hill could be cut back as they seem to be closing in on the road. She also asked about the water coming off of
Penny Bank road and cutting a ditch across Patchen Hill. The supervisors stated that this has been
discussed at the road inspection.
Road Report:
The road crew has been ditching, mowing. They fixed the Fiddler Hill erosion problem with rocks and gravel and concrete. The driveway on Stillwater Road was fixed with cutting the berms. We are still trying to find an extension pipe for Cross Road. CRS-2 has been done to Rounds Hill and Swede Hollow roads today. We ran out of limestone and did not get Hessel Valley Road done. Discussion followed and it was decided to wait until next year to do the rest. The retainer cylinder on the backhoe broke this morning, and we have borrowed Curtis’ backhoe until ours can be fixed. There was a discussion on possibly bidding out CRS-2 as a complete job and not for us to apply. The road inspection minutes were reviewed and prioritized.
Business:
An invitation to the Fall Convention for WCATO was received. A letter to Warren County School District was reviewed and signed by the supervisors. The 2010 Minimum Municipal Obligation for the pension plan was presented to the supervisors. We need to appoint a delegate to the EIT board. The supervisors asked the secretary to contact our tax collector, Peggy Nelson, to see if she would be interested in being our representative. The informational meeting for building inspection agencies will be held on September 16, at the Bear Lake Firehall at 6:00.
Communications:
Communications were reviewed.

A motion was made by Randy
Brown to pay the current bills for a total of $10,687.19, seconded by George
Sanders. The motion carried.
Supervisors Comment:
There was a discussion on a new backhoe. Walsh Equipment gave us a quote of 74,900 with 19,000 trade in, so price would be 55,900 on a JCB backhoe. The supervisors asked the secretary to call National City for interest rates.
A motion was made by Randy Brown to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Carl Black. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 10:06 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted
Katherine C. Liffner, Secretary
The next regular meeting will be on September 16, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.
