Business:

Jim Widrig stated that the washing equipment technologies has put in 44 units and the way that Jim has it figured for EDU’s that it should be approximately 4 ½ EDU’s.  He explained about the water reclaimer.  Discussion followed.  Randy Tack asked about engine degreaser in the manual bays.  Jim is not sure if he will have engine degreaser available.  There was a discussion on water usage and manual bays.  Jim also explained that there will be pits in each bay for solids, oils, etc.  Randy Tack made a motion to stay with the 7 EDU’s that have been assessed for the car wash, with 5 EDU’s for the automatic bay and 1 EDU per manual bay, to be reassessed in a reasonable time frame, seconded by Dave Slater.  The motion carried.  There was another matter that was brought before the board concerning treated groundwater to be discharged into our sewer system from Schuyler’s gas station due to environmental consulting following an underground storage tank system release.  Randy Brown will check with John Schuyler to see if this has to be discharged into our system.  There was a discussion on this matter and what the extra water will do to the wastewater treatment plant.  Randy Brown placed a call to Dave Enos and Dave stated it shouldn’t affect the plant.  He also stated that it would be a greater strain on the grinder pump.  There was a discussion on charging for the groundwater to be discharged into our plant.  Randy Brown will also check to see how this will be handled with John Schuyler and let the administrative assistant know.  Randy Brown also checked on gate valves for the treatment plant and the cost is approximately $2800 without shipping and handling.
